Washington D. C.

Washington D. C. is the capital of the United States of America (USA). We've arrived this morning around half past seven a.m. Washington is very big and beautiful. We've visited The Obelisk. The monument to Washington. Construction began in 1848 and was completed in 1884, almost 30 years after the architect's death. The monument is made of marble, granite, sandstone and has an altitude of 170 m. That's so high!. It was designed by Robert Mills.After that, We've visited The United States Capitol. its the building that houses the two chambers of the Congress of the United States. The first stage was completed in 1800 and is one of the main attractions of the city.

Pekin (Běijīng), China

The forth day we have been in Pekin, because we were very tired and we decided to spend the third day in an hotel in Moscou. First of all we wanted to remind that in August Pekin is like the sun (not so much, 35ºC).

The first place we have visited is the Forbidden City, formerly called Purple City. After that we`ve visited the Tian'anmen square. There we have visited the mausoleum of Mao Zedong where lies the founder of the People's Republic of China.

Although it's very known, very few people knows where the Chinese Wall is. It's 8.851,8 km long (10.000 Li).

Another place that we have visited is the Temple of Heaven (Tian Tan). Since 1998 is considered World Heritage by UNESCO.

The latest place we have visited is The Ming Tombs. They are located some 50 kilometers from Beijing. There are buried thirteen emperors of the Ming dynasty, 23 empresses, concubines and courtiers of the court.

Stalingrad

Today, we've gone to Stalingrad. Stalingrad its amazing, in Stalingrad, is the statue of The Motherland Calls ( Родина-мать зовёт), the statue its very big and beautiful. It's 85meters tall. its maked of Concrete and metal. thats been innagured October 15, 1967.

Monday, 2/8/2010. First Day of the travel

Good Day Rusia! We've arrived this morning with our private jet to Moscou, the capital of Rusia. Moscou is a very big city, so we decided to visit only the most significative places. This place is realy cold, so take an anorak and some hot chocolate!.

We have visited The Kremlin fortress, its a fortress very amazing! and we've visited the Krásnaya plóshchad' too, the most important place of moscu! its realy cool!

Tomorrow we go to visit Stalingrad, the site where the Nazis starts to lose the second world war!
